“Containing Nature” is a photographic project that ushers the viewer into the space between nature itself and the human experience of nature. Nature iconography in domestic and commercial spaces is ever present, yet the relationship between humans and nature is not always a graceful one.  The need to bring the ‘outside in’ demonstrates our fascination with nature and our compulsion to be constantly be surrounded by nature’s mass-produced imagery. Quiet observation of these tendencies allows insight to the relationship created between humans and their world.
